Gelato's New Products: Dog Apparel, Candles, Ornaments and More (October 2026)

Gelato has added dog apparel, a printed soy candle, a ceramic Christmas ornament, ceramic coasters, printed golf balls and a range of new tumblers and bottles to its print-on-demand catalog. All of them were listed on gelato.com when we checked on 8 October 2026. Gelato hasn't published a dated announcement, so we can't give an exact launch day. For Etsy and Shopify sellers, the timing still works: the ornament, candle and coasters are giftable products you can add before the Q4 rush.

What did Gelato launch?

The products show up in Gelato's product catalog under new categories (Candles, Pet Products, Ornament Prints, Coasters and Golf) and on its New Arrivals page. Gelato also has a new custom pet apparel landing page. We found no press release on Gelato's newsroom or blog, so this looks like a quiet catalog update rather than a big announcement.

Prices are the base product cost Gelato shows for its default variant, excluding VAT and shipping. Gelato shows prices in euros for every region. Your price will depend on size, decoration method and the country you ship to, so check the product page before you set your retail price.

A few details worth knowing before you build listings:

• Dog apparel is decorated by DTF print or embroidery on a full-width back print area (the parka also lists DTG). Every piece has a reinforced slit so it goes on over a harness, and Gelato publishes a size guide by back length, neck and chest.
• US shipping for dog apparel costs more. Gelato doesn't list North America as a shipping region for these garments. On the hoodie, first-item shipping is €19.39 to the US against €7.04 in Europe and €2.60 in the UK. The candle, ornament and coasters are cheaper to ship to the US than to Europe.
• The candle and tumbler are printed by rotary UV inkjet directly onto the glass or steel. The ornament, coasters and golf balls use flatbed UV.
• The Pet Products category description mentions bandanas, bowls and mats, but only the five garments were listed when we checked. Gelato's pet landing page also mentions dog tanks and football tops, which weren't in the category either.
• Gelato+: Gelato says its paid plan gives "up to 33% off product costs". For the candle, ornament and coasters, the Gelato+ price shown was the same as the standard price when we checked.

What does this mean for POD and Etsy sellers?

Ornaments are the obvious Q4 play. A €5–6 ceramic ornament is a cheap way to add a personalised Christmas product (names, "first Christmas", pet portraits, family dates) to a shop that already sells prints or mugs. Gelato's catalog page says creators who published a gifting range before November "took 3.4 times more Q4 orders". That's Gelato's own figure, but the message is sensible: list holiday products early enough to be indexed and reviewed. Our Etsy seasonal calendar has the dates.

Pet apparel fits the pet-portrait and breed niches. If you already sell dog-breed or "dog mom" designs on tees and mugs, matching dog clothing lets one design become a bundle. A parka or hoodie also suits autumn and winter. Remember the shipping picture: these garments look aimed at UK and European buyers first.

Candles and coasters are gift and home-decor add-ons. The candle's print wraps around the glass (252 × 59 mm), so short text, labels and simple patterns will read better than a detailed illustration. Coasters are sold individually, so think about how you'll price and photograph a set.

Golf balls and tumblers are niche but giftable. Golf balls suit Father's Day, club and corporate orders. The tumblers suit the same audience that already buys tumbler wraps. How do you make listing photos for these products?

What you can do in Scaylr depends on the product, and it's better to be clear about that up front:

• Ornaments: we have round ceramic ornament templates in Christmas scenes, from tree close-ups to gift boxes and mantels. Browse the ornament mockup templates or the wider Christmas mockups. Gelato's ornament is a flat 3" disc with a ribbon, so a flat round template like this one on a Christmas tree is the closest match.
• Tumblers: use the tumbler templates or tumbler mockups, and size your artwork with the mug and tumbler template tool. Match the template to the tumbler shape you're selling.
• Dog apparel: we now have dog apparel mockup templates: hoodies, tees, a raglan, a varsity jacket and a denim jacket, photographed from behind so the back print shows, like Gelato's back-print placement. Try the pink hoodie on a sofa or the black hoodie by a fireplace.
• Candles: our candle mockup templates show a clear glass jar candle with the print band placed like Gelato's wrap (just below the wax top, above the glass base), in a studio and three home scenes.
• Coasters and golf balls: we don't have templates for these yet. Your best option is a photo of your sample. If you have a PSD mockup for the product, you can upload your own PSD to Scaylr and batch your designs through it.
