Does my design file get uploaded anywhere?
No. Every check runs in your browser using the Canvas API and the file's own bytes — your design is never sent to a server.
What DPI does Printify, Printful or Redbubble actually need?
It depends on the provider and product: Amazon Merch and most phone cases need a strict 300 DPI, Printify and Gelato target 300 DPI with lower floors for large-format items, and Printful accepts as low as 150 DPI for most products. Pick your provider and product in this tool and it checks your file's effective DPI against that provider's own numbers.
Why does my PNG need to be transparent?
For garment prints (t-shirts, totes) and phone cases, a transparent background lets the product's own color show through around your design instead of printing a visible white box. Amazon Merch on Demand requires a transparent PNG outright for t-shirt designs.
