Frequently Asked Questions

Is it free?

Yes. The free plan makes 30 mockups a day with a small watermark, with no credit card. The free templates need a free account, and your first 50 mockups in the 7 days after you sign up are watermark-free. Starter ($9.99/month, 1,000 mockups) and Pro ($17.99/month, unlimited) remove the watermark.

What size should my t-shirt design be?

Any PNG or JPG works. The print areas of these scenes are 3:4, 5:6 or 1:1, and each template page lists its own. A design in the same shape fills the print area exactly; for other shapes choose Fit (the whole design, nothing cropped) or Fill (covers the area, edges cropped).

Do I need Photoshop?

No. Scaylr processes PSD templates entirely in your browser. Upload your design images (PNG or JPG) and the tool handles all the Smart Object processing automatically. No software to install.

Can I use my own PSD templates?

Yes. Upload any PSD file that contains Smart Object layers. You can also browse our free template library to get started immediately.
