How does the palette extractor pick colors?
It groups every visible pixel of your image into clusters of similar color and shows the biggest groups, largest first, with the share of the image each one covers. Each HEX code is a color that really appears in your design — not an average that doesn’t exist in it.
Can I pick one exact color myself?
Yes. Click anywhere on the image and that exact color is added under “Your picks” and copied to your clipboard.
What does “Ignore the background” do?
It skips the color around the edge of the image, so a white or solid backdrop doesn’t take a slot in your palette. Transparent areas are always ignored.
