Common questions
Do I need a credit card for the free plan?
No. The free plan requires no account at all — just open the app and start generating. A card is only needed when starting a paid trial.
When will I be charged?
You won't be charged during your trial period. All paid plans include a 7-day free trial. After the trial ends your card is charged automatically unless you cancel beforehand. Exception: the yearly sale price (30% off your first year) is paid at checkout, with no free trial.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes — you can cancel anytime from your billing portal. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period. We don't offer refunds on payments already processed, but you'll never be charged for a period you cancelled before it started.
What happens when I hit my monthly limit?
On Starter, your counter resets at the start of each new billing cycle. You can upgrade to Pro at any time for unlimited mockups. On the free plan, your daily limit resets at midnight UTC.
Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately with proration. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. Manage everything from your billing portal.
Do you work with any PSD file?
Yes — Scaylr works with any PSD that has Smart Object layers. Upload your own templates or use ours from the free library. No Photoshop installation needed.
What is the Shopify Publisher?
It's included with Pro. Connect your Shopify store, add your PSD templates and designs, and Scaylr generates the mockups, writes each product's title, description and tags with AI, and pushes the products to your store as drafts or live listings, all in one batch. You can also create a single listing from images you already have.
